The 100-D180ZD22L contactor is an MCS Bulletin 100-D IEC contactor from Allen-Bradley. It is a member of the Bulletin 100-D series of Allen-Bradley contactor. Like other Bulletin 100-D contactors, the D180ZD22L contactor has a compact size despite being classified as a large-frame contactor. This contactor is compatible with the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 193 electronic overload relay modules. The 100-D180ZD22L contactor is a non-reversing type of IEC contactor. It is fitted with a “ZD” coil, which is a conventional type of DC coil that does not include a PLC interface. The conventional coil on the 100-D180ZD22L contactor has a voltage range of 110 Volts DC. This non-reversing contactor is a 3-phase, 3-pole contactor that features a total of 4 auxiliary contacts. The auxiliary contacts on the contactor are composed of two normally open (NO) and 2 normally closed (NC) contacts. One of the NC contacts is a  late-breaking contact and it must be connected to the pickup winding of the coil.

The Allen-Bradley 100-D180ZD22L Bulletin 100-D MCS contactor has a rated operational current of 180 Amps at an ambient temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. At an operating temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, the operating current is rated at 250 Amps. According to the IEC standards, the isolation voltage rating of the unit is 1000 Volts maximum. The 100-D180ZD22L contactor can withstand a maximum impulse voltage of 12 kilovolts. It supports output power ratings of 105 kilowatts for 3-phase AC motors rated at 415 Volts and output power ratings of 135 kilowatts for 3-phase AC motors rated at 690 Volts. The 100-D180ZD22L contactor has thru-hole screw-type terminals with terminal lugs. When a terminal block is used, the unit has an IP 20 maximum environmental protection rating.
