The Allen-Bradley 100-D180ZJ11L Bulletin 100-D IEC contactor is a 3-phase contactor designed for high-load applications. It has a DC-operated conventional coil, and it comes as a complete factory-assembled unit. The 100-D180ZJ11L contactor has an IP 20 type of industrial housing which provides protection against dust and prevents small foreign particles from entering the internal parts of the contactor. The 100-D180ZJ11L contactor is also rated for use in high shock and high vibration conditions (per the IEC standards). It supports panel mounting and can be installed inside a control cabinet. The 100-D180ZJ11L contactor has an IEC rated operating temperature range of -25 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius. Its design allows for high thermal and electrical ratings (up to 1000 Volts) and it is built for installation at high altitudes (up to 3000 meters above sea level).

The Allen-Bradley 100-D180ZJ11L Bulletin 100-D contactor offers several built-in protection features, including a surge suppression option (for protection against high-voltage conditions), a high impulse voltage withstand rating (up to 8000 Volts), and a high voltage isolation rating. The 100-D180ZJ11L contactor accepts either AC or DC external inputs. It also has an acceptable input voltage range between 115 Volts AC and 600 Volts AC or 40 Volts DC and 440 Volts DC. The 100-D180ZJ11L contactor has a switching rating of 90 kilowatts at 690 Volt AC (50 Hertz) and a maximum carrying-current rating of 180 Amps at 400 Volts AC. The 100-D180ZJ11L contactor has 3 main power contacts that support bolt-in types of connections. It supports feed-through wiring, and it comes with 2 side-mounted auxiliary contacts for feedback wiring.
