The 100-D420EP11 contactor  is a non-reversing IEC contactor that has been designed and distributed by Allen-Bradley as part of the Bulletin 100-D contactor series. This contactor comes with a compact design that facilitates its installation in an industrial machine or system. Its components are manufactured in materials that are fully compatible with the surrounding industrial environment and which do not harm the natural environment. The Allen-Bradley 100-D420EP11 non-reversing IEC contactor comes with electronic coils that operate with AC voltage. Some of the advantages of these electronic coils are that they can reduce pick-up currents by at least 80 percent in average cases compared to other coils. These coils can be used with an integrated PLC interface and these coils also include built-in surge suppression features.

The Allen-Bradley 100-D420EP11 non-reversing IEC contactor can operate in many heavy-duty applications such as applications in steel mills, mines, and rock quarries. It can also be used in applications where there are heavy-duty electromechanical motors that require a durable and sturdy contactor for precise operation and control. The Allen-Bradley 100-D420EP11 non-reversing IEC contactor has rated operational current levels of 420 Amps and 540 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius, respectively. The operating voltage rating of this contactor is 100 Volts AC and it operates with 3 normally open main contact poles, one normally open auxiliary contact, and one normally closed auxiliary contact. This contactor can be installed on a panel and it is important to include it in a grounding system to avoid electromagnetic interference and other kinds of interference that could affect the quality of signals during operations. The functioning of this contactor is similar to the functioning of a relay switch but it provides higher switching capabilities and it is intended for bigger equipment.
