The Allen-Bradley 100-D420EZD00 Bulletin 100-D 3-pole contactor is built for large-load industrial applications. The 100-D420EZD00 contactor’s contacts, including its coil circuits, are housed inside a protective enclosure. This touch-proof enclosure offers sealed and electrically-insulated housing to all the internal components of the contactor and provides a small degree of protection against dust and small particles. The 100-D420EZD00 contactor has an electronic DC coil with Class B insulation that provides thermal stability at up to 130 degrees Celsius at a full load. The 100-D420EZD00 contactor has high-grade internal components that are made from environmentally-friendly materials. It is designed to meet the RoHS environmental standards. The 100-D420EZD00 contactor is designed to meet other relevant industry standards and certifications including the CE, CCC, IEC, CSA, UL, and c-UL-us standards and certifications as well.
The Allen-Bradley 100-D420EZD00 contactor features an electronic DC-controlled coil interface with 2 operational modes (the E and EI modes). The E mode, which is the factory-default mode, can be selected by using a jumper switch setting. In the E mode, the contactor’s functions are controlled directly by using the A1 and A2 coil terminals to which 110 to 130 Volts DC of control voltage are applied. The 100-D420EZD00 contactor also has PLC terminals labeled B1 and B2, which remain inactive in the E mode. To select the EI electronic interface mode, a 24 Volts DC PLC power source is wired to the B1 and B2 terminals, and the electronic control of the coil mechanism can be energized via the 24 Volts DC source. The 100-D420EZD00 contactor has 3 main circuit connectors (3 normally open contacts) to which a 3-phase AC power is wired directly. The 100-D420EZD00 contactor can work with AC motors that are rated at 230 Volts AC to 1000 Volts AC.
