The 100-D420XX00-EI contactor is an Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100-D series IEC contactor. This contactor does not have a control coil built into it like most Bulletin 100-D contactors do. The Bulletin 100-D series contactors like the 100-D420XX00-EI contactor can be ordered with either AC or DC coils. Furthermore, both conventional and electronic AC and DC coils are supported. Conventional AC coils have control voltages that range from 24 to 600 Volts AC. Electronic AC coils have control voltages that range from 24 to 500 Volts AC. Conventional DC coils have control voltages that range from 24 to 220 Volts DC. Electronic DC coils have control voltages that range from 24 to 255 Volts DC. The current rating of the 100-D420XX00-EI contactor is 420 Amps. Auxiliary contacts are not supported on this contactor.
The Allen-Bradley 100-D420XX00-EI Bulletin 100-D contactor is a 3-pole contactor with 3 power contacts. The Bulletin 100-D contactors can only be panel mounted, not DIN Rail mounted. They have an ingress protection rating of only IP 00, which means that the contactor is not protected against dust or liquids. Therefore, they must only be used indoors and mounted inside a suitable control cabinet so that they will be protected from common harmful elements in the operating environment. The 100-D420XX00-EI contactor can be used for industrial applications that involve motor switching and lighting. The electrical operating lifespan of the contactor is 1 million operations, and the mechanical operating lifespan of the 100-D420XX00-EI contactor is 10 million operations. Only original spare parts made by Allen-Bradley should be used for the replacement of faulty contactor components. Additionally, only trained and experienced technicians should install, operate, and repair this device.
