The 100-D630EP11 contactor is a 3-pole type of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation contactor. It is part of the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100-D family of 3-pole IEC contactors. The rated operational current for this contactor is 630 Amps. It features an electronic coil. The control voltage rating of the coil is 100 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. Two auxiliary contacts are available on this contactor along with the 3 main contacts, and these auxiliary contacts include one normally closed (NC) contact and one normally open (NO) contact. The environmental protection rating of the auxiliary contacts is IP 20, but the environmental protection rating of the 100-D630EP11 contactor as a whole is only IP 00. This contactor should only be panel mounted and it should be mounted inside an industrial cabinet for a greater degree of protection. The storage temperature range for this contactor is from -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. When it is in storage, the 100-D630EP11 contactor must be protected from corrosive gases, dust, and from moisture.
The working temperature range for the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 100-D630EP11 Bulletin 100-D contactor is also from -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. According to the manufacturer specifications, the contactor current reduces by 15% or more at 70 degrees Celsius to avoid device damage or erratic operation. The maximum supported altitude of the installation site for this contactor is 2000 meters or 6600 feet. The height of the 100-D630EP11 contactor itself is 310 millimeters, its width is 255 millimeters, and its depth is 265 millimeters. The shipping weight of the 100-D630EP11 contactor is about 28.6 kilograms. Only qualified and trained industrial technicians should install and commission the contactor. Allen-Bradley also recommends use of only original spare parts and accessories with this contactor because using unauthorized parts and accessories will affect the reliability of the device. The 100-D630EP11 contactor should not be operated after a short circuit unless it has been inspected and found to be working properly. It may also be possible to remove some contact welds carefully with a screwdriver if the short circuit was only a small short circuit.
