The 100-D860EA00 contactor is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation contactor with a current rating of 860 Amps. This is the maximum current rating that is supported by any of the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100-D series contactors. The peak impulse withstand rating for this contactor is 12 kilovolts and the isolation voltage rating is 1000 Volts (IEC). The contactor is controlled by a 208 to 277 Volts AC rated electronic coil. The 100-D860EA00 contactor has 3 main contacts or poles. The ingress protection rating of this large-frame contactor is IP 00. Allen-Bradley has designed it for panel mounting only. There are no auxiliary contacts on the 100-D860EA00 contactor. The contactor weighs about 63 pounds and it  measures 310 x 255 x 265 millimeters. It can be mounted with a tilt and it can also be installed at an angle relative to the upright position. The maximum permitted tilt for this contactor is +/-25 degrees relative to the vertical position.

The maximum clockwise or counterclockwise angle relative to the upright position at which the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 100-D860EA00 contactor can be installed is +/-90 degrees. The mechanical operating lifespan of the contactor is approximately 10 million operations. The electrical operating lifespan of the device is approximately 1 million operations. The current rating of 860 Amps is valid for ambient temperatures that lie between -25 and 60 degrees Celsius and for altitudes of less than or equal to 2000 meters above sea level. The current will be less than the rated value for operating conditions that lie outside these manufacturer-specified values. The current will specifically reduce by 15% at 70 degrees Celsius. Note that operating the 100-D860EA00 contactor outside manufacturer-specified ambient conditions for extended periods can also lead to device malfunction. For reliable and safe operation, the contactor should only be installed or serviced by trained technicians.
