The 100-D860EB00 contactor is an Allen-Bradley  IEC contactor that operates with a non-reversing mechanism only. This means it can only be used with non-reversing motors. This contactor has been designed to operate with heavy-duty and load-bearing equipment such as industrial AC motors. It has been included in the Bulletin 100-D series of IEC contactors that are manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This contactor comes with electric coils and 3 poles that are its main contacts and that are used for performing a switching action that will limit or increase the levels of power that are being provided to the connected equipment. Electronically controlled coils can reduce the required pick-up current and they include a built-in surge suppression feature for protection. The Allen-Bradley 100-D860EB00 IEC contactor has a current rating of 860 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius and a current rating of 1000 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius. These are among the highest current ratings supported in the Bulletin 100-D series.

The Allen-Bradley 100-D860EB00 Bulletin 100-D series IEC contactor employs a coil voltage range of 440 to 480 Volts AC and a corresponding frequency range of 50 to 60 Hertz. This voltage is a standard AC voltage that allows the coils to support an electronic interface that contributes to the functioning of the electric coils and that allows for advanced contactor and system control. The Allen-Bradley 100-D860EB00 IEC contactor does not include any built-in auxiliary contacts but these can be selected from the Bulletin 100-D accessories catalog to improve the contactor’s performance. Once auxiliary contacts are added, they can operate with a feature that is called the mirror contact performance if 1 auxiliary contact is normally open and the other is normally closed. The mirror contact performance includes the isolation of the normally closed contact and it keeps that contact closed regardless of the status of all the power poles. The contactor can be mounted on a panel, and it does not require a lot of space since it has a compact design.
