The Allen-Bradley 100-D95EN00 Bulletin 100-D contactor features 2 user-selectable operating modes (the standard E mode and the EI mode). These modes are selectable with a jumper. The 100-D95EN00 contactor also comes with an electronic coil with an interface that can be actuated with AC voltage. The control voltage range for the coil is between 380 Volts AC and 500 Volts AC. The 100-D95EN00 contactor’s coil has 2 primary contacts (A2 and A1) to which the control voltage source is connected. Additional B1 and B2 terminals are also provided for connecting to 24 Volts DC signals from the PLC interface. When the E operating mode is selected, the coil is connected and controlled by using the A2 and A1 terminals. The B2 and B1 terminals are inactive in this mode.
When the EI mode is selected on the Allen-Bradley 100-D95EN00 Bulletin 100-D contactor, the basic contactor functions such as switching on and off are controlled from the 24 Volts DC signal level source. Terminals A2 and A1 are also wired to the control voltage in the same manner as the conventional coil, while terminals B2 and B1 are wired to a 24 Volts DC control signal from a PLC for energizing the contacts. Note that 15 milliamps of current are required to drive the B1 and B2 terminals. The 100-D95EN00 contactor can be wired directly to a 3-phase power source. The main circuit contacts (L1, L2, and L3) are provided for connecting the whole contactor to the main power supply. Optional snap-in auxiliary contact blocks can be added to make the feedback wiring process easier. The 100-D95EN00 contactor has a maximum carrying current rating of 95 Amps.
