The 100-E09KN10 contactor is an IEC 100 series standard contactor from Allen-Bradley. It is one of the Bulletin 100-E power contactors. The Bulletin 100-E contactors are part of the next generation of Allen-Bradley contactors, which come in different sizes with different current ratings. The 100-E09KN10 contactor is available with a 9 Amps current rating and an A3 duty rating and it comes with screw-type terminals. This Bulletin 100-E contactor also features an electronically controlled coil with relatively low pick-up and hold-in currents. The electronic coils have voltage ratings ranging from 250 to 500 Volts AC/DC. The operating frequency of the AC voltage is 50/60 Hertz. The 100-E09KN10 contactor has 3 poles and one normally open auxiliary contact. It also allows for the installation of additional auxiliary contacts. The product complies with the IEC/EN 60947 standards and can be operated at a rated voltage of up to 1000 Volts AC.
The Allen-Bradley 100-E09KN10 contactor is relatively easy to field mount due to its small size and light weight, which helps to save panel space. This model lacks a user interface and it cannot be directly connected to PLCs without the use of interposing relays. The 100-E09KN10 contactor has an integrated surge suppressor, but a circuit breaker can be installed onto the contactor for motor protection. It has been CE Marked, and it comes with the c-UL-us, CCC, EAC, and RCM certifications. The 100-E09KN10 contactor supports a wide range of optional accessories and spare parts such as mechanical interlocks, terminal lungs and shrouds, terminal enlargements mounting plates, and contact kits. The operating temperature range of the unit is -40 to +70 degrees Celsius, and the maximum altitude of the installation site should not exceed 3000 meters.
