The 100-E116ED11L contactor is a direct-on-line large frame contactor from the Allen-Bradley 100-E product line of IEC 100 series new-generation contactors. It meets the IEC standards and it is ideal for heavy-duty industrial electrical applications like motor control, HVAC, and power transformer applications. The universal electronic coil on the 100-E116ED11L contactor allows for both AC and DC control. The control voltage range for this contactor model is 100 to 250 Volts AC and DC. The frequency rating for the AC voltage is 50 or 60 Hertz. The contactor comes with a PLC interface, which is one of its most notable features. The PLC input requires a separate 24 Volts DC power supply to function. The 100-E116ED11L contactor has 3 main contacts or poles and 2 auxiliary contacts that are configured as one N.O. contact and one N.C. contact. If required, snap-in external auxiliary contact blocks with 2 poles can be ordered separately to be used with the contactor too.

When operating at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, it has an AC-1 current rating of 160 Amps. It can handle up to 55 kilowatts of output at 415 Volts AC, 75 kilowatts at 500 Volts AC, and 55 kilowatts at 1000 Volts AC for industrial applications. It can switch a 75-Horsepower AC motor at 460 Volts and a 100-Horsepower AC motor at 574 Volts. The operating temperature range for the 100-E116ED11L contactor is between -40 and +70 degrees Celsius. It comes with a cable clamp connection and built-in terminal lugs which are standard features with this contactor model.
