The 100-E116KN11 contactor is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation IEC 100 series direct-on line contactor from the Allen-Bradley 100-E product line. The design of the contactor fully complies with the IEC standards. This modern Allen-Bradley contactor is a power-efficient device that uses up to 40% less power than previous contactor models. The 100-E116KN11 contactor is a compact and light device. This 100-E MSC-E type contactor has an operational current rating of 116 Amps and an AC-3 utilization category rating. It comes with an electronic AC/DC coil that connects directly to the PLC. The control voltage of the coil ranges from 250 to 500 Volts DC and 250 to 500 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. External coil modules are also available as replacement parts for the contactor.

The 100-E116KN11 contactor has an operating power rating of 55 kilowatts at a voltage range of 380 to 415 Volts (AC-3) and 75 kilowatts at a voltage range of 415 to 440 Volts (AC-3) at a frequency of 50 Hertz and an ambient temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. The 100-E116KN11 contactor supports 3-phase motor switching with rated operational power ranging from 30 Horsepower at 200 Volts to 100 Horsepower at 575 Volts. The 100-E116KN11 contactor has three normally open main poles. It has one normally open and one normally closed auxiliary contact. Auxiliary contact blocks are available separately which snaps onto the contactor without the use of tools. The standard electronic coil has 125 Watts of pick-up power and 3 Watts of hold-in power. The 100-E116KN11 contactor comes with bus bar connection terminals. The recommended torque for the main contacts terminal is 8 N-m, and for the coil and auxiliary contacts terminals, it is 1 to 1.2 N-m.
