100-E116KN11L

The 100-E116KN11L contactor is a large-frame IEC 100 series contactor that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is one of the Bulletin 100-E series IEC 100 contactors, which have a smaller footprint and a wider voltage and power range than the older 100-C and 100-D series contactors. It has 116 Amps of rated operating current and it can operate with 55-kilowatt AC-3 motors at voltage ratings of 400/415 Volts and 1000 Volts. The 100-E series contactors’ wide kilowatt power range makes them suitable for use in a variety of demanding industrial applications such as applications in steel factories, where equipment robustness and durability are required.  The 100-E116KN11L contactor has a maximum switching frequency of 300 operations per hour for AC-1 and AC-3 motor applications.

The 100-E116KN11L contactor features 3 normally open main contacts, one normally open auxiliary contact, and one normally closed auxiliary contact. It includes a standard electronic AC/DC coil as well as support for an optional PLC interface. The control voltage range for the “KN” electronic coil on the 100-E116KN11L contactor is 250 to 500 Volts AC and DC. The AC voltage has a frequency rating of 50/60 Hertz. The coil has a pick-up power rating of 205 Watts and a hold-in power rating of 4 Watts. This contactor model also comes with a cable clamp connection with built-in terminal lugs which need to be ordered separately for other contactor models. The conductors used in the main contact terminals must have a maximum cross-section area of 95 square millimeters, and the circuit length should not exceed 22 millimeters. The dimensions of the 100-E116KN11L contactor with the PLC input are approximately 150 millimeters in height, 90 millimeters in width, and 142.5 millimeters in depth.
