The 100-E12EQ01 Contactor is a high-performance 3-pole contactor from the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100E/104E line in the IEC 100 Contactors series. The 100-E12EQ01 Contactor offers direct-on-line connectivity with AC motors. This is achieved through its low-energy switching electronic coil, thereby eliminating the needs for interposing relays. The 100-E12EQ01 Contactor has an innovative compact design that makes it suitable for tight-space applications. It offers a complete range of renewal parts and accessories to extend contactor functionality. The 100-E12EQ01 Contactor has an AC/DC type of contactor with low power consumption capabilities. The coil voltage ranges from 12 to 20 Volts DC, and it is insulated with Class F insulation. The main circuit has an isolation voltage rating of up to 690 Volts and it can provide an impulse withstand of up to 6000 Volts.

The 100-E12EQ01 Contactor accepts either AC or DC inputs. It has an operating voltage range of 240 to 690 Volts AC or 20 to 440 Volts DC, and a maximum carrying current of 12 Amps. The  100-E12EQ01 Contactor can be used with a wide variety of AC motors, and it provides switching power ratings of up to 3 Horsepower at 230 Volts AC and 10 Horsepower at 575 Volts AC. The 100-E12EQ01 Contactor has 3 main contacts and a Normally Closed (NC) type of auxiliary contact. All contact types, including the main contacts, auxiliary contacts, and contactor coil terminals have screw-type terminals and they can be used with user-supplied terminal lugs. The 100-E12EQ01 Contactor has an ambient operating temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius at the rated operating voltage, and it is designed to resist industrial shocks. It has an IP2X rated enclosure that protects the users against electric shocks from touching internal components.
