The 100-E16EJ01 contactor is a Bulletin 100-E IEC 100 series contactor manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is an MCS-E type of large-frame contactor that meets the IEC specifications. This contactor is a member of Allen-Bradley’s next-generation Bulletin 100 series of lightweight and energy-efficient contactors, which has a smaller form factor than previous models. It is commonly used to control electric motors and load switching in an industrial environment where a high current load is required. As per the IEC 60947-4-1 standards, it belongs to the AC-3 utilization category. The 100-E16EJ01 contactor has an AC-3 operational current rating of 16 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius and an AC-1 current rating of 30 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius. It is a 3-pole AC and DC-powered direct-on-line contactor with 3 main contacts and 1 normally closed auxiliary contact.

The contactors in the 100-E series like the Allen-Bradley 100-E16EJ01 contactor have an AC/DC electronic coil with a wide voltage range and low pick-up and hold-in power ratings. This particular contactor comes with energy-efficient low-consumption EJ coils with coil voltages ranging from 20 to 60 Volts DC and 24 to 60 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz. The coil's pick-up power ranges from 12 to 16 Watts, and its hold-in power is 1.7 Watts. The 100-E16EJ01 contactor with low-consumption EJ coils is approximately 80 millimeters high, 45 millimeters wide, and 77 millimeters deep. The contactor is equipped with screw terminals for contactor connections that require 1.5 N-m of torque for the main contact terminals and 1.2 N-m for the coil and auxiliary contact terminals. The 100-E16EJ01 AC-3 contactor can switch motors rated from 4 to 9 kilowatts at 220 to 690 Volts AC and 50 Hertz.
