The 100-E16KD400 IEC Large Frame Contactor is a 4-pole AC/DC contactor from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Bulletin 100-E product line of high-performance industrial contactors from the IEC 100 Contactors series. These contactors are designed for direct-on-line connections to a power source, and they have a wider voltage range to suit a wider range of applications than most other contactors can handle. The 100-E16KD400 Contactor has a very compact design that features significantly reduced weight and dimensions to save as much panel space as possible. The 100-E16KD400 Contactor comes with standard AC/DC electronic coils and without a PLC interface. These standard universal AC/DC coils have an operating voltage range between 100 and 250 Volts AC (at 50/60 Hertz) and between 100 and 250 Volts DC. The coil comes with screw-type wiring terminals and Class F insulation for protection.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 100-E16KD400 Contactor’s main circuit has an acceptable operating voltage range between 115 and 690 Volts AC (with 50/60 Hertz line frequency) and 24 and 440 Volts DC. The main circuit also has a carrying current capacity of 30 Amps at 600 and 690 Volts AC and a maximum switching rating of 9 kilowatts at 690 Volts AC. The 100-E16KD400 Contactor has an isolation voltage rating of up to 690 Volts AC and a maximum impulse withstand rating of up to 6000 Volts. The 100-E16KD400 Contactor has 4 Normally Open (NO) main pole contacts with screw-type terminals for quick and simplified field wiring. The 100-E16KD400 Contactor has a rated operating temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius, and it is designed for operating at altitudes of up to 3000 meters. The 100-E16KD400 Contactor has an IP2X industrial enclosure, which protects the internal parts of the contactor and protects the users.
