The Allen-Bradley 100-E38QJ400 Large Frame IEC 100 Series Contactor is a 3-pole contactor from the IEC 100 Contactors series that is designed for large frame switching applications. Despite its large frame, the 100-E38QJ400 Contactor features a compact design with reduced weight and dimensions to save both panel space and installation costs. The 100-E38QJ400 Contactor has 4 main poles with standard screw-type terminals for quick field wiring. Each connector pole is a Normally Open (NO) contact that can be wired for direct-on-line connections. The 100-E38QJ400 Contactor has a switching voltage range of 115 Volts AC to 575 Volts AC/24 Volts DC to 440 Volts DC. It has a maximum current rating of 38 Amps (55 Amps at 690 Volts AC) and a maximum output power rating of 30 Horsepower.

The Allen-Bradley 100-E38QJ400 Contactor has a low consumption/faster drop-out DC contactor coil without a PLC interface. The contactor coil is energized by a different and lower voltage rating than the motor’s switching voltage. The coil also has a switching voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and an insulation class of Class F per the IEC standards. The 100-E38QJ400 Contactor offers circuit isolation ratings of up to 690 Volts AC and an impulse voltage withstand of 6000 Volts. The 100-E38QJ400 Contactor is built to operate at -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. It has a maximum operating altitude of 3000 meters and it can be used in high-vibration industrial conditions.
