The 100-E400EY11 IEC Contactor by Allen-Bradley is a 3-pole AC/DC contactor that is designed for large frame applications. The 100-E400EY11 Contactor is built around a space-saving design with significantly reduced dimensions and weight compared to standard contactors to save panel space. The 100-E400EY11 Contactor features a universal AC/DC electronic coil that supports AC or DC actuation voltage and which also simplifies the coil and contact selection process. The coil can support an integrated PLC interface for easy integration into the Allen-Bradley control architecture. The 100-E400EY11 Contactor features low switching energy and power consumption ratings that allow for a direct connection with a PLC without using interposing relay circuits. It has a coil voltage range of 48 to 130 Volts AC/DC (with 50 to 60 Hertz AC voltage frequency) to accommodate a wide range of applications.

The Allen-Bradley 100-E400EY11 Contactor’s coil comes with IEC standard Class F insulation, which provides electrical and thermal insulation at up to 180 degrees Celsius. The 100-E400EY11 Contactor has 3 main poles (3 normally open contacts) that support bolt-in connections to the power supply. The 100-E400EY11 Contactor also has 2 factory-supplied auxiliary contacts (1 N.C, 1 N.O). A terminal lug kit and additional auxiliary contacts can be ordered to expand the contactor’s operation options. The 100-E400EY11 Contactor has an acceptable operating input voltage range of 115 to 575 Volts AC or 24 to 440 Volts DC. It is rated for 400 Amps of AC-3 duty ratings and 600 Amps of AC-1 duty ratings at 400 Volts AC. The 100-E400EY11 Contactor has a maximum switching power rating of 220 kilowatts at 415 Volts AC (AC-3 duty). The 100-E400EY11 Contactor offers voltage suppression capabilities in addition to a circuit isolation voltage of up to 690 Volts and a maximum impulse withstand rating of up to 8000 Volts.
