The Allen-Bradley 100-E40KN00 AC/DC Contactor is a 4-pole large frame direct-on-line contactor from the Bulletin 100E direct-on-line contactor line in the IEC 100 Contactors series. The 100-E40KN00 AC/DC Contactor uses the standard AC/DC type of control coil. The coil accepts both AC and DC input, thereby expanding its uses into a wider range of applications than normal coils can handle. The coil has a switching voltage range between 250 Volts AC/DC and 500 Volts AC/DC and an operating frequency range of 50 to 60 Hertz. The 100-E40KN00 AC/DC Contactor’s coil comes with IEC-rated Class F type insulation which provides up to 180 degrees Celsius thermal stability at the full device ratings. The 100-E40KN00 AC/DC Contactor’s main circuit has 3 main pole contacts with screw-type terminals for fast and simplified wiring processes.

The Allen-Bradley 100-E40KN00 AC/DC Contactor’s main circuit does not come with factory-installed auxiliary contacts but these can be ordered separately to enhance the contactor’s functionality. The 100-E40KN00 AC/DC Contactor accepts AC or DC voltage inputs. It has a rated operating voltage range of 200 to 575 Volts AC (at 50/60 Hertz) or 24 to 440 Volts DC and a carrying current rating of 40 Amps.
