The Allen-Bradley 100-E40KN200 IEC 100 Contactor is a DIN Rail or panel-mounted contactor that is designed for large-frame industrial applications. The 100-E40KN200 Contactor supports direct-on-line wiring with a direct power supply. It accepts AC or DC voltage inputs with voltage ranges from 115 Volts AC to 575 Volts AC or 24 Volts DC to 440 Volts DC. The 100-E40KN200 Contactor has a maximum current capacity of 40 Amps and a switching power rating of 40 Horsepower at 575 Volts AC. The 100-E40KN200 Contactor has a 4-pole design with 4 main pole contacts. These contacts consist of 2 Normally Open (NO) and 2 Normally Closed (NC) contacts. Additional auxiliary contacts can be ordered separately with external auxiliary contact blocks to enhance the module’s functionality. The 100-E40KN200 Contactor provides up to 690 Volts of isolation voltage and an impulse voltage withstand rating of 6 kilovolts for long-term and enhanced operation.

The Allen-Bradley 100-E40KN200 Contactor has a standard AC/DC control coil with a different and smaller control voltage rating than the motor’s switching voltage rating. The 100-E40KN200 Contactor has a coil voltage rating of 250 to 500 Volts AC/DC (at 50/60 Hertz coil frequency for the AC voltage), and Class F rated insulation with thermal stability at up to 180 degrees Celsius per the IEC standards. The 100-E40KN200 Contactor supports an IP2X rated protective housing. This enclosure provides housing for the current-carrying contacts, coil, and other internal components. It also provides protection against electric shocks that may result from touching contacts.
