The Allen-Bradley 100-E580EY11 AC/DC-Operated Contactor is an IEC 100 Contactors series contactor from the Bulletin 100-E MCS-E product line. The 100-E580EY11 Contactor comes with bolt-in type terminals for wiring to a power supply. It supports direct-on-line wiring to a power source. The 100-E580EY11 Contactor has 3 main current-carrying contacts that are the Normally Open (NO) contact type. It also comes with 2 factory-supplied auxiliary contacts (1 Normally Open contact and 1 Normally Closed contact). Depending on the application specifications, additional auxiliary contacts can be ordered to extend the 100-E580EY11 Contactor's capacity to 4 auxiliary contacts. The 100-E580EY11 Contactor supports a complete range of accessories, and optional accessories like terminal lugs can be ordered separately to simplify the wiring.

The Allen-Bradley 100-E580EY11 IEC 100 Contactor is supplied with a standard AC/DC type of electronic coil. This coil option supports an integrated PLC interface for easy integration into a control system. This coil also offers low switching ratings and a wide operating voltage range to accommodate a wide range of applications. The 100-E580EY11 Contactor has an AC/DC actuation voltage range of 48 to 130 Volts AC/DC and it is covered with a Class F insulation type. The 100-E580EY11 Contactor has a current rating of 580 Amps for AC-3 applications and 800 Amps for AC-1 applications. It has an AC-3 duty switching rating of 355 kilowatts at 415 Volts AC and an operating voltage range between 115 and 575 Volts AC or 24 and 440 Volts DC. The 100-E580EY11 Contactor offers built-in voltage suppression, and it has a rated isolation protection current of 690 Amps and an impulse withstand value of 8 kilovolts. It supports cabinet installation and it can be installed on a panel or a 35-millimeter DIN Rail.
