The Allen-Bradley 100-E80KJ400 contactor is an IEC 100 and Bulletin 100-E series large frame contactor. Newer Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation contactors like the 100-E80KJ400 contactor have a smaller and more compact footprint and significantly lower power requirements than older contactors. The contactors in the Bulletin 100-E line such as the 100-E80KJ400 contactor have electronic coils that cover wide voltage and power ranges. This allows the operators to easily select the appropriate contactor for their specific application needs. The 100-E80KJ400 contactor has a standard electronic "KJ" coil with a control voltage range of 20 to 60 Volts DC and 24 to 60 Volts AC at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hertz. The operating current rating of the contactor is 80 Amps. The 100-E80KJ400 contactor is appropriate for AC-1 and AC-3 applications. The contactor has an AC-1 current rating of 125 Amps and a rated operational power of 159 kilowatts at 690 Volts AC and at 50/60 Hertz.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 100-E80KJ400 IEC 100 series contactor has 4 main poles composed of 4 normally open or N.O. main contacts. It does not have any auxiliary contacts built in. However, auxiliary contact blocks can be mounted on the 100-E80KJ400 contactor if needed. The external auxiliary contact blocks can be mounted quickly and easily without the use of any tools. The contactor comes with screw-type terminals for connecting the main contacts and auxiliary contacts. The 100-E80KJ400 contactor can switch 3-phase AC-3 motors with a 45-kilowatt operating power rating at a voltage range of 415 to 690 Volts AC (50 Hertz) and a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius.
