The Allen-Bradley 104-E116KD22 Reversing AC/DC Contactor is an IEC 104 series contactor from the Bulletin 104-E contactor family. This contactor series offers contactors with significantly reduced sizes and lower power consumption ratings to save panel space and operation costs. The 104-E116KD22 Contactor is supplied with a standard AC/DC electronic coil with a rated switching actuation voltage range of 100 to 250 Volts AC/DC (with 50/60 Hertz frequency for the AC voltage). This coil uses its wide voltage range to accommodate a wide range of applications and it uses its lower power consumption rates to save energy and operation costs. The 104-E116KD22 Contactor has Class F insulation for its electronic coil, and it also provides surge suppression to reduce downtime. The 104-E116KD22 Contactor has a 3-pole main contact for wiring to a 3-phase power supply. A mechanical interlock can be used to connect 2 contactors like the 104-E116KD22 Contactor together.
The Allen-Bradley 104-E116KD22 Reversing AC/DC Contactor from the IEC 104 Contactors series also has 2 side-mounted, snap-in, low-power auxiliary contacts (1 normally closed and 1 normally open) for feedback circuits. The 104-E116KD22 Contactor offers a simplified field-through wiring design with bolt-in type terminals for quick and easy wiring. It accepts 3-phase AC input or direct DC input. The 104-E116KD22 Contactor can be wired directly to a 3-phase motor without additional relays. It has an acceptable operating voltage range of 115 to 575 Volts AC (3-phase, at 50/60 Hertz) or 24 to 440 Volts DC, and a maximum current rating of 116 Amps in AC-3 applications at the nominal input rating. The 104-E116KD22 Contactor provides a circuit isolation voltage of up to 690 Volts AC and a maximum impulse withstand voltage rating of 6000 Volts.
