The 104-E116KN22L IEC 104 3-pole contactor is a reversing contactor that has been designed to fulfill industrial contact requirements in applications that include the use of reversing motors. This contactor has been included in the Bulletin 104-E product line of reversing-type IEC 104 series contactors that are manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This contactor operates with a standard coil voltage range of 250 to 500 Volts AC and DC. When AC voltage is used, a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz is used too. This contactor also operates with a current rating of 160 Amps at a standard ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. This contactor can resist normal thermal variances and operate at a maximum altitude of 3000 meters. The contactor can operate in a temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 104-E116KN22L reversing contactor comes with 2 auxiliary contacts. One of these comes in a normally open position which is considered to be the normal position of the contacts, and the other one is in a normally closed position.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 104-E116KN22L IEC 104 series reversing contactor comes with a set of built-in terminal lugs that provide an extra connectivity mechanism from the contactor to different equipment that is involved in the same system or application process. The contactor can be ordered with an optional PLC interface if it is required and relevant to the contactor’s intended applications. Some of the other accessories that can be added to the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 104-E116KN22L reversing contactor are additional side-mounted auxiliary contacts, terminal shields, connecting bars, and mechanical interlocks. This contactor includes a built-in surge suppression mechanism and it comes with electronically controlled coils that reduce the pick-up currents by at least 80 percent on average.
