The 104-E116KY22 reversing contactor is an IEC 104 series reversing contactor from Allen-Bradley. It is one of the most modern Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation contactors which replaces the older 100-C/D series contactors and outperforms them with its smaller form factor and its higher energy-saving capabilities. The 104-E116KY22 reversing contactor is a reversing contactor with an AC-3 current rating of 116 Amps and it is available in a large frame. It is a 3-pole reversing contactor with 2 auxiliary contacts, one normally open and the other normally closed. The 104-E116KY22 reversing contactor includes mechanical interlocks that are used to link 2 adjacent contactors together. It also allows for the mounting of optional external auxiliary contact blocks if necessary. The external auxiliary contact blocks are attached to the contactor’s interlock.

The Allen-Bradley 104-E116KY22 reversing contactor includes a standard electronic AC/DC operated coil with control voltages ranging from 48 to 130 Volts DC and 48 to 130 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz AC frequency. There is no PLC interface supported by the coil. This IEC 104 series reversing contactor can switch 55-kilowatt motors at 400 and 415 Volts AC and 75-kilowatt motors at 440 and 500 Volts AC. The 104-E116KY22 reversing contactor has a 3-phase rated operational output power of 75 Horsepower at 460 Volts and 100 Horsepower at 575 Volts. The 104-E116KY22 reversing contactor has an AC-1 general-purpose current rating of 160 Amps.
