The Allen-Bradley 104-E146KJ22 reversing contactor is a 146 Amps-rated reversing contactor with 3 poles from the IEC 104 Contactors series. A reversing contactor is used for reversing the direction of the rotation of a motor. A non-reversing contactor, on the other hand, is only used for turning the motor on or off. The 104-E146KJ22 reversing contactor has bar connections for the main contacts. The 104-E146KJ22 contactor also has auxiliary contacts, including 1 normally open auxiliary contact and 1 normally closed auxiliary  contact (with mechanical interlocks only). The contactor comes with a low-power electronic coil rated for 24 to 60 Volts AC and 20 to 60 Volts DC. The rated operational current varies with the ambient temperature. At 690 Volts single-phase voltage and 40 degrees Celsius, the operational current is 225 Amps. At 690 Volts single-phase voltage and 60 degrees Celsius, the operational current is 200 Amps, and at 690 Volts single-phase voltage and 70 degrees Celsius, the operational current is 175 Amps for single phase AC.

Additionally, at 60 degrees Celsius, the operational current ratings for 3-phase AC voltage for the Allen-Bradley 104-E146KJ22 IEC 104 series reversing contactor are as follows: 146 Amps at 220 to 240, 380 to 400, 415, and 440 Volts AC, 130 Amps at 500 Volts AC, 93 Amps at 690 Volts AC, and 60 Amps at 1000 Volts AC. The main contactor poles on the 104-E146KJ22 reversing contactor are all IP00 rated. The operating and storage temperature ranges for the contactor are both from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. Allen-Bradley does not recommend installing the 104-E146KJ22 reversing contactor at elevations that exceed 3000 meters above sea level. The height of the 104-E146KJ22 reversing contactor is 150 millimeters, its depth is 126 millimeters, and its width is 90 millimeters.
