The Allen-Bradley 104-E205ED22 IEC 104 Reversing AC/DC Contactor is a reversing contactor from the IEC 104 Contactors series. The 104-E205ED22 Contactor is designed for use within a -40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit temperature range. It can withstand high levels of operational vibration and shock per the IEC 60068-2-6/60068-2-27 standards, and it can be installed at a maximum altitude of 3000 meters without de-rating. The 104-E205ED22 Contactor has an insulated protective housing. This sealed housing provides an IP2X ingress protection rating and it protects both the internal components and the users. The 104-E205ED22 Contactor has an eco-friendly design that meets the RoHS compliance standards. It also has a complete range of accessories and renewal parts available to expand its functionality as well as to provide application flexibility. The 104-E205ED22 Contactor offers a smaller design footprint (it is up to 25% smaller than conventional contactors) that helps to conserve panel space, and it also offers low power consumption ratings (with up to a 40% reduction in energy use) to save operation costs.

The Allen-Bradley 104-E205ED22 IEC 104 Reversing AC/DC Contactor supports reversing connections to AC motors. With the help of a factory-supplied mechanical interlock, contactors that are mounted side by side can be wired or jumped to provide forward and reverse direction wiring for 3-phase AC motors. The 104-E205ED22 Contactor has 3 main power pole contacts (L1, L2, and L3) of the normally open design for wiring to the power line. It has bolt-in type terminal connections for easy and quick field-side wiring. The 104-E205ED22 Contactor has 2 factory-installed side-mounted auxiliary contacts (1 N.O., 1 N.C.) with snap-in contacts for low-energy feedback connections. Additional auxiliary contacts can be ordered from the accessories catalog to expand the contactor’s functionality range. The 104-E205ED22 Contactor has an AC/DC electronic coil option that can support an integrated PLC interface. Its low coil switching power allows for direct wiring with a PLC circuit without requiring interposing relays.
