The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation IEC 104 series 104-E400ED22 contactor is designed to save energy with its low power consumption rating. It features a low-switching power-rated AC/DC coil with reduced hold current and pickup current ratings. This coil offers a wide operating voltage range to accommodate a broad range of applications. The 104-E400ED22 contactor comes with the standard A1 and A2 coil power terminals for energizing and de-energizing coil plus a third X5 connector with 3 distinct terminals (ON, OFF, and COMM) and an S1 switch located next to the X5 connector for a PLC interface. The 104-E400ED22 contactor requires an external AC/DC power source that is wired to the 3 main power contacts (3 NO contacts). The 104-E400ED22 contactor accepts external inputs with an operating voltage range from 24 Volts DC to 400 Volts DC or 115 Volts AC to 575 Volts AC.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation IEC 104 series 104-E400ED22 contactor also features a rugged design that conforms to the IEC/EN 60947 standards and that can even be operated at a rated voltage of up to 1000 Volts AC. The 104-E400ED22 contactor has an operating current rating (AC-3 Duty) of 400 Amps and a maximum kilowatt output power rating of 220 kilowatts at 50 Hertz and 415 Volts AC. The 104-E400ED22 contactor comes with 2 factory-supplied side-mounted auxiliary contacts (1 NO, 1 NC) with a snap-in feature for feedback wiring. The 104-E400ED22 contactor has a designated operating temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. It can withstand normal industrial shock and vibration levels. It comes with an insulated IP2X protection class which is strong enough to prevent the users from touching the internal components. The 104-E400ED22 contactor is RoHS certified, and it is built to meet worldwide industry standards including the UL, CCC, CE, CSA, RCM, EAC, and c-UL-us standards.
