About 104-E400EN22

The 104-E400EN22 IEC 104 contactor from Allen-Bradley features a universal AC/DC electronic coil with a wide operating voltage range (250 to 500 Volts DC/AC). This AC/DC coil option provides a universal actuating option, allowing for fast contractor selection. The 104-E400EN22 contactor offers low pickup current and a low hold-in current rating. It also offers a low switching power rating to save energy. The 104-E400EN22 contactor coil has 2 power contacts llabeld “A1” and “A2” that connect to a steady 24 Volts DC power source for energizing or de-energizing the coil. It also has a 3rd connector labeled “X5” with 3 terminals (the “COMM,” “OFF_N,” and “ON” terminals) that is permanently attached to the coil. The 104-E400EN22 contactor’s coil also has an S1 switch for direct PLC wiring. The X5 connector with the S1 switch constitutes the contactor’s built-in PLC interface circuit. The 104-E400EN22 contactor features a built-in voltage suppression circuit on its coil, and it offers up to 690 Volts AC of voltage isolation on its circuits.

The Allen-Bradley 104-E400EN22 IEC 104 contactor is designed to accept 3-phase AC input from an external power source. It also accepts DC input from an external DC power source. It has an operating voltage range of 24 to 400 Volts DC or 115 to 575 Volts AC. It has a rugged design that makes it suitable for use in extreme industrial conditions. Per the IEC/EN 60947 standards, the 104-E400EN22 contactor can be operated at a rated voltage of up to 1000 Volts AC in some applications. It offers high electrical and thermal switching capabilities to provide flexible and long-lasting operation. The 104-E400EN22 contactor has a maximum switching power rating of 350 Horsepower at 480 Volts AC and a maximum carrying current capacity of 400 Amps. The 104-E400EN22 contactor has 3 standard contacts which are power connectors and 2 side-mounted auxiliary contacts for auxiliary connections.
