The 104-E580EY22 Reversing AC/DC Contactor is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation contactor from the Bulletin 104-E line of large frame contactors in the IEC 104 Contactors series. The 104-E580EY22 Contactor features a new and innovative design that significantly reduces its weight and dimensions to save important panel space. The 104-E580EY22 Contactor has an AC/DC universal electronic coil and a PLC interface. The 104-E580EY22 Contactor offers low levels of switching energy that allows for direct integration with a PLC without requiring interposing relay circuits. The coil voltage ranges from 48 to 138 Volts DC or 48 to 138 Volts AC (at 50/60 Hertz coil frequency). The 104-E580EY22 Contactors’s coil circuit features IEC Class F rated insulation and screw-type terminals for easy field wiring.

The main contactor circuit for the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 104-E580EY22 Contactor accepts AC or DC power sources with ratings from 115 to 575 Volts AC or 24 to 440 Volts DC. The main circuit also has a maximum carrying current rating of 580 Amps at 400 Volts AC and a maximum switching power of 600 Horsepower at 575 Volts AC. The 104-E580EY22 Contactorhas a maximum isolation rating of 690 Volts AC and an impulse withstand rating of 6000 Volts. The 104-E580EY22 Contactor has a 3-pole wiring configuration with screw-type terminals. It also has 1 Normally Open (NO) auxiliary contact and 1 Normally Closed (NC) auxiliary contact for suppressing the coil current after contact closure.
