The Allen-Bradley 1763-L16AWA is part of the Bulletin 1763 MicroLogix 1100 Programmable Controller series. This controller features an integrated RS232 and Ethernet communication port. The 1763-L16AWA’s EtherNet/IP port provides high-speed connectivity and the ability to access, program, and monitor from any of available Ethernet nodes. Other notable features include the built-in LCD display, the isolated RS-232/485 communication port, and embedded web server. The 1763-L16AWA Programmable Controller requires input voltage supply of 120 to 240 Volts AC. It has an power consumption of 46VA. This controller has an integrated Ten (10) 120 Volts AC digital inputs and Two (2) 0 - 10 VDC analog voltage inputs. It also has Six (6) individually isolated relay outputs channels. Devices connected to the 1763-L16AWA’s RS-232/RS-485 combo port should be floating or reference to the controller ground. The 1763-L16AWA is a MicroLogix 1100 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This controller is a compact controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley for installation in small scale applications. This controller features Twelve (12) 120VAC discrete inputs, Two (2) 0-10VDC analog inputs and Six (6) Relay outputs.

The discrete inputs feature an operating voltage range of 79 ...132V ac with OFF-state voltage range of 0-20VAC. It has a minimum ON-state current of 5.0 mA at 79V ac; nominal value of 12 mA at 120V ac and maximum value of 16.0 mA at 132V ac.

The analog input accepts 0-10VDC voltage signal which may be used to receive signals from transmitters, transducers, converters and other devices. The received voltage signal is converted via an integrated analog to digital converter and stored to a 10-bit unsigned integer. This analog channel has a resolution of 10 bit.

The Relay output channels are designed for load Current of 10A with mechanical life of 10,000,000 cycles. It has a turn OFF and Turn ON time of 10 msec. It may be operated with a voltage range of 125VDC, 120-240VAC.

This controller has integrated RS232 / 485 communication port. This port is designed for peer-to-peer and networked communication. Use RS232 mode for peer-to-peer while RS485 for multi-node communication. It is also provided with an Ethernet communication port to allow connection to Ethernet IP network with speed of 10/100 mbps. Controller parameters, including communication settings may be assigned through the provided LCD screen. I/O tests and troubleshooting may also be carried out through this LED display.
