About 42DRA-5400

The 42DRA-5400 module is an Allen-Bradley Photoswitch sensor head module. The Photoswitch sensor consists of the photo head module and the power supply unit. This analog adapter photo head is used with 42DTB and 42DCB bases. The head module has a voltage rating of 22 to 28 Volts DC and it has a current rating of 70 milliamps maximum. The 42DRA-5400 sensor head module has NPN output set points with a current rating of 100 milliamps and 30 Volts maximum voltage. The rear side of the head unit has an RJ 45 connector for Ethernet connections. An LED indicator is also included to show the communication status of the module. The environmental temperature should be between -40 and 65 degrees Celsius for normal operation.



 



The housing of the 42DRA-5400 sensor head module is made of valox and acrylic. The outer body of the head unit has a corrosion resistant coating and it has a high impact housing for extreme environmental conditions. The 42DRA-5400 sensor head module is an industrial unit. It comes with an IP 66 protection rating and it can survive in harsh environmental conditions. The unit is compact in size and it is portable. The head unit comprises the Infrared sensor with an 880 nm transmitting LED. LED indicators are present on the front of the sensor. The sensor has a sensing distance of 127 millimeters. The 42DRA-5400 sensor head module comes with an output load of 900 ohms at 28 Volts DC and 100 milliamps. The sensor has a faster response time than other sensors and it has different sensing modes. It can be easily mounted by using a DIN rail.
