The 1770-M11 Processor Mass Storage System is a mass storage device from the B Series of mass storage systems that is designed to provide the Allen-Bradley PLC-3 controllers with responsive, high-speed, high capacity, and nonvolatile mass storage capability for the storage and retrieval of the PLC-3 memory contents, procedures, and data logging files. The 1770-M11 System offers 3 distinct system features that make it the ideal storage choice for PLC applications, and these are hardware features, file management features, and GA basic command and function set features. The standard hardware options include one high-capacity 22.

The 1770-M11 System comes with an integral 120 Volts AC or 24 Volts AC power supply with 90 to 132 Volts AC or 180 to 264 Volts AC operating voltage ranges and with a 1.5-Amp input current rating and 32-Amp peak inrush current rating. The 1770-M11 System has a serial channel port (J22) with 6 slotted screws for connecting to a PLC 3 peripheral communication module using a twinaxial cable. The 1770-M11 System’s Winchester disk drive is capable of supporting up to 4093 program files and up to 2153 files on its micro–floppy diskette. The  1770-M11 System can accept and execute commands initiated via any terminals that are connected to the PLC 3 peripheral communication module, and the basic commands include the Save, Load, Delete, Copy, Assign, and Open commands.
