* The Allen Bradley 1775-54AB has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1775-54AB units instead of migration.
The 1775-54AB is an interface module fully designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The interface module is usable with Programmable Logic Controllers in the PLC-3 category. Modules in this category, like the 1775-54AB interface module, accommodate an operating ambient temperature not exceeding 60 degrees Celsius and not falling below 0 degrees Celsius. When not in use, the 1775-54AB, as with other modules in the same Allen Bradley PLC-3 family, should be stored at a temperature between -40 degrees Celsius and +85 degrees Celsius. The 1775-54AB PLC-3 interface module features a keypad on its front panel to help the users enter configuration parameters and fix errors.
The configuration process of the 1775-54AB is made easier by the inclusion of a small display screen also located on the face of the module. For the proper functioning of the 1775-54AB, sufficient grounding must be provided during installation. For an entire PLC-3 system to function as required, it should be connected to a reliable power supply which is free from voltage spikes and other unwanted disturbances. Providing a clean power supply to a PLC-3 system allows the 1775-54AB interface module connected to it to also reach its full potential. The 1775-54AB, as with other modules in the PLC-3 family, should not be installed when the power to the system is on. Additionally, the installation, replacement, and servicing of the 1775-54AB should be performed only by qualified personnel or damage to other components of the PLC-3 system is likely to occur.
