About 1775-A1

The 1775-A1 is an Allen-Bradley main processor chassis. This chassis is used to house a PLC-3 controller, protecting it and the individual modules from damage. This chassis contains six module slots and the front panel of a PLC–3.  It is made of a rugged aluminum that is cast. This aids in protecting the controller from the hazards of a harsh environment. It also promotes reliable processor operation. This device has also a convention cooling mechanism which provides proper air circulation to the components of the PLC-3 system. This, in turn, enables the PLC-3 to work in a variety of industrial settings.

The 1775-A1 also has a power interlock bar which is vital in preventing the removal of modules while the power is on. The power interlock bar in this device prevents any damage to the PLC-3 modules. The 1775-A1 also has a module cover. These covers serve to protect the device against electrical noise contaminants which are also known as RFI. It also aids in protecting against the module circuitry. On this chassis, there are module status indicators. These indicators show the operators the status modules which have passed or failed. This aids the operators of the PLC-3, especially when they want to do troubleshooting. The other feature that is exhibited by the 1775-A1 is its field expandability. This is instrumental when the user wants to install the expansion chassis or additional modules. It eases the process of installation and the enhancement of the PLC–3 system onsite when it is required. The front panel on the 1775-A1 also helps when a direct connection to the industrial terminal is needed. It also has four status indicators which show the users the ongoing operations. It also serves to give them status and diagnostic messages which aid in data entry and monitoring.
