* The Allen Bradley 1775-P2 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1775-P2 units instead of migration.
The Allen-Bradley 1775-P2 is the multi-output power supply module for the Allen-Bradley PLC-3/10 programmable controller. The 1775-P2 requires 115-230V AC input at 47 – 63 Hz frequency. The outputs available for it are as follows: +5V DC of output at 28A, +15V DC of output at 3A, and -15V DC of output at 3A. The 1775-P2 power supply module and the PLC-3/10 processor module (1775-L4) are installed in the Allen-Bradley 1775-A3 chassis.
The 1775-P2 power supply is a modular, multiple-processor industrial controller. The PLC-3/1 chassis that it is installed in houses individual 1775-P2 modules. The PLC-3/10 main processor module provides 6 module slots that are contained on the front panel and it provides program execution, memory management, and inter-module communication control powered by the 1775-P2. To do this, it requires one module slot in the processor chassis to be dedicated to the 1775-P2 power supply module.
The PLC-3/10 memory modules store the program information, the data table information, and the other information that is needed for processor operation. All 4 memory modules have error detecting and correcting (EDC) capability. The modules differ in the amount of memory capacity that they have.
To prevent damage to the components and to prevent operator injury, the system power should be shut off before removing or inserting the 1775-P2 processor module in the PLC-3/10 chassis. The 1775-P2 processor module should not be inserted into the PLC-3 chassis (cat. no. 1775-Al, -A2) as it is not compatible with the PLC-3 programmable controller.
