The 1775-SR5 is a scanner module for the 1775 multiprocessor, field expandable industrial PLC3/10 controller which is made by Allen Bradley. This module provides communication channels for inputs and outputs, programming and monitoring, and peer to peer communication. The 1775-SR5 features a Remote I/O configuration, which allows the user to program the I/O chassis at up to 1000 feet away from the processor; it also has I/O scan priority, which allows the PLC scan the I/O ports in the specific order defined by the user. The 1775-SR5 also supports peer to peer communication, meaning that the user is able to connect multiple PLC3/10 systems and communicate with them. The SR 5 has a built-in backup feature and supports various backup configurations, which can be set by setting the DIP switches.

The recommended operating temperatures for this system are between 0 to 60 degrees Celsius while the storage temperature should be -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The overall humidity of the environment should be 5 to 95%, non-condensing. To ensure maximum efficiency and life expectancy of the device, operation of the 1775-SR5 in the aforesaid temperature range is strongly advised. The approximated shipping weight of the 1775-SR5 is 9.7 pounds, although the weight of the module itself without additional shipping weight is around 7.67 pounds; the dimensions of this product are 25 inches x 17 inches x 7 inches.
