About 1775-WA

The Allen-Bradley 1775-WA Terminal Swing Arm is a terminal connector arm for the Allen-Bradley I/O Scanner Modules (1775-S4A, -S4B, and 1775-SR) which provides effective and extensive cabling system for efficient I/O communication, backup communication, and up to 6 PLC-3 or PLC-3/10 processors peer-to-peer communication. The 1775-WA is located close to the bottom of the scanner module, and it has a connector for input/output (I/O) communication channels from 1 to 4. This channel provides a means of effectively scanning I/O, backup communication, and peer-to-peer communication, and connection to these channels is made through the 1770-CD cable. When the 1775-WA is used for scanning I/O, it is compatible with 1775-S4A or 1775-S4B scanners, when it is used for peer-to-peer connection it is compatible with only the 1775-S4A scanner, and when it is used for backup communication, it is compatible only with the 1775-S4A scanner.

The 1775-WA also helps to connect the 1771 I/O chassis to the 1775-S4B scanner module, and this connection can extend to a maximum distance of up to 10,000 cable feet, which is made possible by the connection point on the terminal swing arm for connecting the twin-axial cable (1770-CD) which connects to 1771 I/O chassis. This terminal swing arm provides selectable communication rates between 57.6 and 115.2 kilobaud, and it offers scan time range of 5.5 to 6.5 milliseconds for 1 channel to 6.0 to 6.5 milliseconds for 4 channels. The 1775-WA has a functioning temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) at a relative humidity range of 5 to 95%, and it has a non-operating range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).
