Allen Bradley 1770-P1 is an Input/output device and a continuation of Programmable Convertible series, but it is a power supply device and not a programmable convertible. It provides power supply to 1771-1 I/O and other modules of the same series that run on an external DC power, including Analog Input Modules. It can be connected to other devices to provide power supply, as well as used on LED numeric displays and thumbwheel switches.
The 1770-P1 is a kind of adapter that regulates the power supply. It can also be used as a stand-alone power supply to the chassis, receiving power from its one end and making it available from the other. The 1770-P1 converts the current into a lower voltage, making it suitable for devices requiring less voltage, and applies a control-limiting system, saving components from abnormal current damages.
The 1770-P1 operates on two voltages: 220 to 240 Volts and 120 Volts. It also supplies the two voltages +5 Volts and -/+15 Volts and contains two terminals for receiving of power and two terminals for supplying the converted energy. The use of jumpers provides this facility, allowing a user to connect terminals on the module either directly, or use the jumpers. There are separate terminals when utilizing the IF module; naked terminals are used for 220 to 240 Volts, and jumpers are used for 120 Volts. Similarly, the jumper is used for +5 Volts and -/+ 15 Volts.
These products are flexible about their programming and their Input/Output. It also provides a wide choice of controllers according to your requirements. The Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) rating exceeds 400,000 hours, making this product more reliable. These products are manufactured with modular architecture, growing according to user needs.
