1771-CFMK

The 1771-CFMK module is an Allen-Bradley configurable flowmeter module. The 1771-CFMK flowmeter module can operate in three ways: as a CFM module, as a replacement for a QRC module, or as a replacement for a QRD module. The 1771-CFMK module is a single-slot I/O module which interfaces between I/O devices and Allen-Bradley PLC processors with block-transfer capabilities. The 1771-CFMK module is compatible with the Allen-Bradley PLC-2, PLC-3, PLC-5, and PLC-5/250 series of processors. The module performs rate calculation operations or high-speed totalizing applications and it can interface with magnetic pickup flowmeters, and 4 to 40 Volts DC pulse and proximity probes. The applications for the 1771-CFMK module include automotive, food and beverage, power management, and oil/gas industry applications, specifically in flow and turbine metering applications.

The 1771-CFMK module accepts a maximum of four channels and each of these channels are capable of accepting the following: a magnetic pickup at 50 millivolts and 200 Volts AC, 4 to 40 Volts DC pulses with an open collector (TTL compatible) and proximity probe inputs which are compatible with the Bently Nevada 3300 transducer systems. Each input channel can be configured for flowmeter input or gate input. There are four outputs on the 1771-CFMK module with a maximum on-state voltage drop of 0.6 Ohms x the current and less than 300 microamps of leakage current at 40 Volts DC. The 1771-CFMK module draws a maximum of 1 Amp from the chassis backplane. The minimum and maximum module power dissipation levels are 2 Watts and 13 Watts, respectively. The minimum and maximum module thermal dissipation levels are 6.8 BTU per hour and 54.2 BTU per hour. The working temperature range for the 1771-CFMK module is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
