1771-DMC1

|

The Allen-Bradley 1771-DMC1 control coprocessor module is designed to function as the main module in a PLC 5 series control system. Its memory capacity is 1 MB. The 1771-DMC1 control coprocessor module supports the Ethernet network. It is a 1-slot module that only needs 1 slot in a chassis for installation. The 1771-DMC1 control coprocessor module can be connected to a serial expander module in some applications, but the serial expander module needs its own chassis slot for installation.

The 1771-DMC1 is an Allen-Bradley control-coprocessor. It has a backplane current of 4A at 5V DC with Ethernet and Transceivers. Its AUI port produces 450 mA at 15V DC backplane current. The operating temperature ranges from 0-60°C and the storage temperature -40-85° C. The relative humidity is 5 - 95% non-condensing. The communication ports are the RS-232 port with 9 pins and wire category 2 at COMM 0 and the RS-232/423/485/422 port that is compatible with 25 pins and wire category 2 at COMM 1 at 60 °C. The 1771-DMC1 has a 1.5A, +5 V DC serial expander module with a resistive 500 mA at 30V AC or DC fault relay. The keying on the serial expander module is between pins 16 and 18 for the upper C connector, pins 2 and 4 for the lower D connector, and between pins 16 and 18 for the lower D connector. The 1771-DMC1 module’s 1771 I/O chassis can be directly connected to PLC-5, on the same chassis as the controller but stand alone, or remotely connected from the controller and stand alone. The keying of the main module on the upper C connector is between 24 and 26 and between 30 and 32. The module runs C, BASIC, and assembler programs. These allow the module to conduct tasks and applications more efficiently. Communication is more technical as it uses Ethernet or asynchronous serial communication port in communicating to devices outside the controller system. The 1771-DMC1 module can examine and manipulate the inputs and output information collected from the controller. Using the features of C and BASIC programs the module can compute complex math and algorithms.
