The 1771-HD IMC 120 Hand-Held Teach Pendant by Allen-Bradley is a hand-held device which allows for easy modification of system variable values and system parameter values through the Offline Development System (ODS). It has a maximum extension distance of 25 cable feet (8m) from the 9 pin RS-232 port of the motion controller module using the 1771-CAD cable. The 1771-HD has specialized keys (the hard keys and the soft keys) which perform Hand-Held Pendant functions. The hard keys are keys with permanently assigned functions, the soft keys are those whose functions vary with the display menu, and both keys are used to identify and select specific displays and to respond to displays. The 1771-HD’s display is a 4-line x 16-character layout that conveniently displays error messages from the IMC 120 System or the user-enabled menu, and the 1771-HD has 5 selectable menu displays (Jugs, Status, Debug, File Manager, and Teach Position). It uses the 1771-CAS connector cable to connect to an AC power source with a rating of 120V AC or 240V AC. It communicates with a servo controller module via the RS-232 port connected with the 25-foot RS-232 cable with a 9-pin D-shell connector. The module offers a diagnostic test using the switch and button. It has an operational temperature between 0 and 600C and functions optimally at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity range.
