The 1771-HR Module is a Resolver Excitation Module that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation in the PLC 5 series. This module is situated on the Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O chassis slot and it is specially designed and intended for use with the Allen-Bradley IMC 120 system to provide the Sine and Cosine signals that excite the IMC 120 Resolver Feedback Stator and that offer position feedback to controller modules. The Allen-Bradley 1771-HR Resolver Excitation Module uses an Allen-Bradley 1771-PS7 power supply module that provides 5 Volts, 15 Volts, and 24 Volts DC power through the 1771-CAS Cable. This cable is connected to the 12-pin Latch and the 1771-HR Lock Connector, and it also comes with a backplane power consumption of 0.4 Watts.
Some of the notable features of the 1771-HR Module include a green LED indicator light that shows the power status. It uses the 1771-CAPR 12-foot Cable for connections to the termination panel. The blade has a Sinusoid output amplitude of 6.72 Volts (RMS) minimum as well as an absolute amplitude of 7.42 Volts (RMS) and a maximum Sine-Cosine matching amplitude of 0.3 percent. The 1771-HR Module features a maximum offset voltage of 0.01 Volts DC with 0.1 percent TDH signal distortion and 2.5-kilohertz output frequency. This module’s Sine-to-Cosine relationship remains at 900 for 4.5 minutes, at a Sine Drift of -/+5.4 minutes, and a Sine Phase offset of 0.45. Additionally, it comes with a maximum output inductive load of 80 Ohms with an output current limit of 0.81 Amps minimum and 0.35 Amps maximum. The 1771-HR Module features a maximum signal delay time of 2 seconds from power-up to output.
