The 1771-HS1 is a Serov controller module by Allen-Bradley. This module is part of the IMC121 Servo control system. It is designed to mount and occupy a single slot of the 1771 I/O chassis and is compatible for use with different Allen-Bradley products such as Programmable Controllers, I/O adapters, drives, and different devices. It is also compatible for use with resolver and encoder feedback systems. It comes with an embedded RS232 communication port supporting 2400 baud rate data transmission speed. This communication port supports connection to a handheld pendant for debugging of MML programs, performing axis jog, teaching and assigning motion paths, and editing Adjustable Machine Parameters (AMP). This servo controller is also provided with Four (4) 24 VDC fast inputs; Four (4) 24 VDC Fast outputs and One (1) programmable analog output. Compatible workstations include Allen-Bradley T35, T45, T47, or T50 Industrial Terminals; Allen-Bradley Series 6120, 6121, and 6122 Industrial Computers and any IBM PC XT/AT computers. The 1771-HS1 has operating temperature of 0 to 605C (32 to 1405F) inlet air temperature; -40 to 855C (-40 to 1855F); Operating altitude of up to 6562 ft (2000 m) and operating humidity of 5 to 95%, non-condensing.

The 1771-HS1 module is a servo controller module manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the PLC-5 series that works with the IMC 120 Series motion controllers. This module comes with 32 KB of memory in its Allen-Bradley 1771-HM memory cartridge, an encoder module, an Allen-Bradley 1771-PS7 power supply module, and a maximum of 3 servo controller modules on the I/O chassis. The memory cartridge is connected to the controller module to provide storage for the entire controller module. The 1771-HS1 memory cartridge features a lithium battery for backup with a 3.6 Volts rating and a CMOS Random Access Memory (RAM) with a capacity of 32 KB for the MML program memory. Other notable features of this module include 4 red and green LED light indicators on the front panel along with a power connector for connecting the 1771-PS7 power supply module. The Allen-Bradley 1771-HS1 module comes with a power supply module rated at 120 Volts AC voltage at 1 Amp of current and at 220 Volts AC voltage at 2 Amps of current. It also uses the Allen-Bradley 1771-CAS connector cable to link the power supply to the power connector. Other features of this module include a 50-pin Axis E-stop I/O connector for receiving the encoder feedback signals, E-stop starting signals, E-stop status, and resolver feedback signals. Additionally, this connector provides fast I/O power. The 1771-HS1 module features a 15-pin AUX FDBK connector for receiving the auxiliary encoder feedback signals as well as an encoder. It also provides the encoder with power and it has an RS-232 connector on the front to allow for downloading and uploading the MML programs and AMP parameters.
