1771-IBNK

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IBNK is a conformal-coated DC Sink Input Module that requires a source output. It provides a path to the ground while the source output offers a positive voltage path. It features an input filter that limits the effect of voltage transients that is caused by electrical noise and/or contact bounce. Its conformal coating made of polymeric films adds layers of protection against humidity and contaminants. It is one of the 1771 Digital DC Input Modules that are essential components in the assembly of PLC-5 Systems. The 1771-IBNK Digital Module is composed of 4 sets of 8 inputs, for a total number of 32 inputs.  It is a sink-type (source load) module with 10-60V DC voltage category. Its operating voltage ranges from 10-30V with maximum 1.7 mA off-state current and 280 mA backplane current load. When turned on, it has a typical signal delay of 6 (±2) ms (digital filter), and 6 (±2) ms when off. And, its wiring arm has a catalog number of 1771-WN. Each 1771-IBNK DC Input occupies one slot width. You can install it in any chassis slot but the leftmost slot which is reserved for adapters or processors. It is compatible with source-switching machines like dry-contact switches, electro-mechanical transmitters, and panel-switching devices such as selector switches and pushbuttons.
