The Allen-Bradley 1771-ICD is a 20-60V DC Input Module in the series of 1771 Digital DC Input Modules. It is a component in the assembly of 1771 PLC-5 Systems. It is a sink-type module (source load) with a total of 16 inputs. It has a maximum 1.2 mA of off-state current and 250 mA of backplane current load. When turned on, the typical signal delay is 6 (±2) ms, and 20 (±1) ms when off. The 1771-ICD Digital DC Input Module is ideal for use with source switching devices, including electro-mechanical transmitters, dry-contact switches, and panel switching devices such as pushbuttons and selector switches. It is compatible with Series B of 1771 I/O chassis (1771-A1B through 1771-A4B) or a 1771-AM or a 1771-AM1 chassis. It receives power from the power supply of the 1771 I/O chassis backplane. When installing the 1771-ICD, make sure the module group using 2–slot addressing contains no other input or single-card block transfer module. Any discrete output device can be added into the module group. Plastic tracks on the chassis slots will guide the module into place. Secure its position by snapping the latch over the top of the 1771-ICD. When powered off or in storage, the static–shielded bag that the module ships with should be used for protection against damage and keep performance at top quality.
