The Allen-Bradley 1771-ID01 is an isolated 220V AC/DC input module that supports high-power operations and provides system protection. It is a 6-input model that is part of the 1771 Digital AC/DC Input Modules that interfaces ON/OFF devices to Allen-Bradley programmable controllers in 1771 PLC-5 Systems and universal I/O structures.  It is built to operate with AC input devices like float switches, limit switches, pushbuttons, and selector switches used in Isolated-circuit multiple-phase applications. To directly drive terminals on the 1771-ID01 Isolated AC/DC Input Module, an AC output module rated 220-240V can be used. If this connection is used, an electrocube snubber or 3.3K ohm 20W resistor should be connected between the output terminal and common. To power both the input and output, use the same AC source to promote proper phasing and avoid module damage. The 1771-ID01 ships with a field wiring arm with category number 1771-WD to make connections to the module. Its operating voltage ranges between 184-276V AC and 18-276V DC. Its maximum off-state currents are 0.7 mA at AC and 1 mA at DC. The 1771 I/O chassis backplane feeds power to the module. It requires 74 mA of backplane current load. It is CE-marked for all applicable directives; UL-listed and is CSA-certified.
