1771-ID16

The Allen-Bradley 1771-ID16 is an all-purpose 120V AC/DC isolated input that is part of the 1771 Digital AC/DC Input Modules for PLC-5 Processors. It features customer-selectable input filtering that suppresses voltage transients resulting from the contact bounce or radiated electrical noise. The result in performance is dramatic –improving power quality and enhancing product longevity while minimizing electrically-related downtime. The 1771-ID16 120V AC/DC Isolated Input has a factory-set filter time of 9ms. Due to filtering, the typical signal delay is 9 or 18ms for turning the AC inputs from on-to-off and 0.57ms for turning AC inputs from off-to-on; for DC, its delay has a value of 9ms for turning from on-to-off and 0.57ms from off-to-on. This module works with a 1771-A1B or 1771-A4B or later I/O chassis. Because of the capacitive impedance input, there is initial current associated with this input. Connections to the 1771-ID16 Digital Module are made thru the 40 Terminal Field 1771-WN Wiring Arm that is shipped with it. This wiring arm is attached to the I/O chassis’ pivot bar. This allows the removal or insertion of the 1771-ID16 without disconnecting the wires. This module is built for Isolated-circuit multi-phase applications and work with float switches, selector switches, limit switches, and pushbuttons.
