The 1771-IF07 module is an analog input module manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This intelligent input module belongs to the PLC-5 product line and it is designed and intended for interfacing between the analog inputs and the PLC processors through the block transfer programming process. The unit performs all the required analog to digital conversions and vice versa, which enables the interfacing of analog signals with PLC data table values. It has a wide range of applications, some of which include temperature sensing, flow metering, pressure sensing, and level sensing applications. The 1771-IF07 Series B analog input module features 8 single-ended inputs with a voltage rating of 1 to 5 Volts DC, 0 to 10 Volts DC, -10 to 10 Volts DC, and 0 to 5 Volts DC. The module uses a current range of 4 to 20 milliamps, 0 to 20 milliamps, and -20 to 20 milliamps. Other specifications include a maximum off-state current of 1.7 milliamps AC/DC and a backplane current load of 1.3 Amps at 5 Volts DC.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IF07 input module features a channel update time of 8 milliseconds for 8 channels along with 12 bits of plus sign resolution. It has an Allen-Bradley 1771-WB wiring arm that replaces the wiring module and reduces the need to disconnect all the wiring when servicing the input module. This module requires a single slot for installation in the I/O chassis and keying bands to enhance the correct installation between pins 4 and 6 and 32 and 34 for the right connector and pins 6 and 8 and pins 22 and 24 for the left connector. The 1771-IF07 module has a red "FAULT" indicator and a green "RUN" indicator for power and fault status at the front panel. Additionally, the unit comes with opto-electrical isolation that protects the system circuits against electrical transients and input filtering features that reduce the electrical noise.
