1771-IQ16

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IQ16 is a discrete input module that is part of the 1771 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. This module is typically used to interface discrete electrical and mechanical devices such as switches, sensors, auxiliary contacts, pushbutton devices and similar devices to the controller module for reference of logic execution. The 1771-IQ16 converts the received electrical signal to a binary, digital signal and stores this data to the controller’s programmable memory.

The 1771-IQ16 mainly features Sixteen (16) isolated input channels that operates at a voltage range of 10-32VDC with nominal input voltage of 24VDC. It has maximum On-state voltage of 10VDC and maximum Off-state voltage of 5VDC. Each channel exhibits signal delay for OFF to ON and ON to OFF transitions. Specifically, 0.57 ms and customer selectable 0, 0.57, 9 and 18 ms.

The 1771-IQ16 is mounted to a 1771 chassis. Compatible chassis are 1771-AB thru 1771-A4B chassis. When wiring signal wires to the 1771-IQ16, compatible wire size range is 14 to 122 American Wire Gauge (AWG) stranded or solid copper wire with maximum insulation thickness of 3/64 inch. Module keying is between 22 and 24 / 30 and 32. This module is shipped with a Field Wiring Arm that permits user-friendly installation and maintenance.
